Personal profile

Research

I am a PhD Fellow at the Department of Communication and Arts within the field og art and culture.

In my PhD project, I investigate participatory art that is part of cultural and urban policy to promote participation, engagement and inclusion among residents. I engage in a comprehensive transdisciplinary fieldwork involving sensory and affective methodologies to developing new approaches for understanding the non-verbal, non-visual and non-obvious conflicts of participatory art. Drawing on the theoretical concepts of antagonism, affect and performativity, I investigate how conflicts enable democratic opportunities and struggles to integrate residents’ perceptions into the renewal of urban spaces.
