LOADING MORE GUYS: SHINING A LIGHT ON GAY DATING IN THE APP AGE

The author summarizes my recent book chapter about immigrants on Grindr in Copenhagen, where I show “how Grindr helped recent gay immigrants break through language and cultural barriers to find housing, jobs, and friends.” He includes my research on the “recurring racism and xenophobia” one might encounter, but also my argument that Grindr can be “a space for people to directly call out other users for hate speech by writing about it in their profiles”.
