York University - The political dynamics of global agenda setting

Activity: Talk or presentationLecture and oral contribution

While presenting my work at Global Strategy Lab, York University, I discussed why issues receive global policy attention - focusing on an agenda setting perspective. First part of the presentation focused on the relation between science and policy, where I discussed the politics of information processing from knowledge generation systems to policy making regimes and how does this process influence global policy attention. Second part of the presentation brought digital collective action that has originated in twitter interactions into discussion, where the influence of social media interactions on policy attention was presented.
