Description
The ecstatic feeling of letting go of everyday life and worries is a key value proposition of nightlife culture. What, then, does it take to have a good night out? The answer to that might differ depending on the gender, sexuality, and race of whom you ask. In this talk, Kristian Møller will introduce to new developments in “minority-centred nightlife” and how they organisationally work to create pleasure equity. Drawing from literature and his own research, the talk will give insights into these activist forms of nightlife and ultimately ask if this might inform broader initiatives for sexual safety and drug harm reduction in nightlife.
