Public and private service organizations have until now been studied separately. This may result in an insufficient understanding of the drivers, dynamics and conseqvenses of service-activities. The ServPPIN project is handling this problem by analyzing public as well as private services and analyzing public-private innovation networks, since these are important in the development, production and delivery of new and improved services. The aims of the project is therefore to: 1. Identify and research the relationship between public and private services and economic growth and wellfare, 2. To understand service-innovation and how public-private interaction works, 3. To identify the characteristics of succesfull public-private service networks.
