Sustainable Digitalisation and Smart Cities in Scandinavia

Nordic Countries have attracted attention in recent years with its sustainable living and urban development, in other word, Smart City. In Smart Cities, the wide spread of digitalisation in society are prominent where urban data is collected through sensors and IoT are utilised, however, the ultimate goal of future smart city for Nordics is not technology central but well-being society where human and nature co-habit. This lecture will introduce Nordic sustainable challenges and efforts observed wider societal domains in relation to digitalisation in society from a perspective of one Japanese living in Denmark.
