March 20, 10.15-12.00, Auditoriet i bygning 25 (25.2-035), Roskilde University

Invited speaker: Shelley Moorhead

Introduction: Björn Lingner

Knowledge production and international politics and relations can be closely interlinked. An example of this is the discussion on reparations and reconciliation. This discussion is not only about historical responsibility in regards to colonization and slavery, it can also work as an important example of how contemporary knowledge production, racism, the politics of location are connected to politics and international relations. This seminar explores the above.
We have the privilege of counting with the participation of Mr. Shelley Moorhead, Special Advisor to the Governor of the US Virgin Islands, Secretary-General, Inter Virgin Islands Council and Member of the US Virgin Islands 2017 Centennial Commission, and with Björn Lingner, MA in Cultural Encounters and External Lecturer in the programme, who has among others written extensively about Danish whiteness, Danish colonialism and slave trade, and reparations.
