DescriptionInvitation received from the Lebanese American University, the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg and the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities for Michelle Pace to present her FACE project findings at an international workshop on “Refugee transfers in the Euro-Arab Mediterranean zone: Tying the Past with the Present- Towards a Transregional and Transhistorical Understanding in times of crises”.
The workshop, which privileges an interdisciplinary perspective, groups scholars and practitioners from various disciplines and regions. It will take place on April 10-12, 2017 at the Lebanese American University (Byblos Campus) in Lebanon. Both historical and contemporary perspectives will be discussed to shed light on refugees as knowledge transmitters as well as political, cultural and societal brokers.
