Performative Urbanism

Do you have a sense of place? How do you connect with your urban and natural environment?
This lecture introduces various methods for mapping and exploring space, and for analyzing urban atmospheres and spatial qualities.
At the following workshop, we will explore Musicon through various mapping exercises, and finally we will document the mappings in creative site-writings to be exhibited in the area. The methods can be used in the design processes when we design for engaging events and performances in urban spaces. The methods are also tools for increasing our awareness of the city and its urban nature.
