Description

Presenting a paper entitled: “Unofficially tolerating citizenship stratification in the service of supporting migrants: The invisible sensibilities of Danish welfare professionals”
Rationale/Theme of Conference:
We live in an era of constantly shifting migration flows driven by various intersecting factors. These include war and conflict, the globalisation of economies, values, and aspirations, changing technologies and means of communication, shifting demographics, socio-economic development, and not least environmental issues and climate change.
The implications of migration on the lived dimension of individuals and communities across various local, glocal and transnational contexts have been a central concern for the interdisciplinary focus of the MIGREL research group. This conference wishes to focus on the interface between migration, religion, and intercultural relations, viewing these interrelated dimensions as a rich and colourful tapestry of interweaving theories and approaches.
