Description

This workshop invites you to explore the environ/mental diversity that makes up our conditions for (peri)urban living.
We will attempt to map and make urban diversity felt as a creative and vital force for designing more just and sustainable cities. We are interested in situated mappings and affective encounters of diverse places. We understand place as multilayered and complex and also defined by our own sense of belonging. For a responsible and careful engagement with places and urban commons, we have developed affective methodologies to map and explore what we term environ/mental diversity. The workshop happens in the intersection of urban design, eco-logic interaction
design, multispecies ethnography, action theory, performative urbanism and much more.
