Democratic Embedding of the Green Transition
This session explores practices, forms, and infrastructures of participation in green transitions, seeking to understand their role in cultivating democratic inclusion and in making possible the local embeddedness of transitions. How can we challenge traditional boundaries between policy, science, and civil societies, particularly in the contexts of knowledge production, knowledge sharing, policymaking, and policy implementation? And how can we include more diverse ways of knowing, valuing, and relating to natural environments, for example those of historically marginalized communities?
