The Envisaged and the Actual Students: Ethnic minority students in vocational education

Activity: Talk or presentationLecture and oral contribution

Ethnic minority students in vocational education may have other qualifications than those that are normally expected from vocational colleges. This may lead to a discourse of deficit as far as these students are concerned, which in turn may constitute a barrier to their learning processes. As an alternative a pedagogy of plurality based on the actual students' resourcees is presented.
