Description

The presentation will introduce to what we may understand as planetary urbanism and diversity Departing from current definitions of planetarianism and planetary urbanism (Chakrabarty, Ruddick) we will question how diversity, specifically biodivertsity, is currently dealt with in urban design and planning. Finally we will sketch an alternative planetary urban design practice, by proposing unwordling, regenerating and making-kin as a way to decolonize human centered design and planning while opening up for more-than human cohabitation in our cities and urban environments .
