Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

Abstrakt

This project, Yahya Hassan – ironi og multietnolekt, concerns Yahya Hassan’s use of irony, multietnolect and poetic language in his recently published collection of poems YAHYA HASSAN, from which the poem ”LANGDIGT” is subjected to an analysis. The project examines if, how and why Hassan uses irony and multietnolect in the poem, and furthermore to which effect. The method used in the analysis is linguistic and based on ScaPoLine, which is used in order to (decode) the irony found in the poem. The main theories used are by Pia Quist, Henning Nølke and Roman Jakobsen. Quists theory puts forward the term crossing, which together with irony is our main focus. The project concludes that Hassan does use both irony, multietnolect and poetic language in “LANGDIGT” as an identity negotiation, which leads to the provocative tone of the poem. Futhermore, “LANGDIGT” raises a critique towards both the Danish and the Muslim society.
