Abstrakt

This project aims to explore the Roles that Language and Education play in immigrants positioning into the Danish Labour Market. The project Analyzes a series of Interviews we conducted with individuals from different National Backgrounds but similar levels of education: Instructed in the Danish Language and Master Degree holders. The interviews map the relationships they have within and outside their workspace in Denmark. Aiding ourselves mainly with P.Bourdieu theories on ‘The forms of Capital’ and Glick Schiller & Levitt's “Conceptualizing Simultaneity” we proceed to unpack the interviews through a Subjectivation Analysis to understand what are the Resources these individuals use to position themselves in the Labour Market.
