In recent years, have we seen Russia being accused of interfering in foreign states through cyber and disinformation attacks. It became wildly talked about in the media after the alleged attacks during the 2016 US election and the Brexit election. Everywhere in western world were people shocked, except for in Estonia. Estonia had been the target of what has been called the Web War 1. While this is a much smaller case than those two mentioned, I find it interesting to look at the case where the world was introduced to this new tactic. I will look at this case, and see if I can find out how Russia was re-securitized and in what way Estonia went about doing this.
