Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This paper examines the War on Drugs, and the effect that has had on the African American population. We will examine the aspects of the campaign that has promoted racial intolerance within American society. Our findings demonstrate that there is a disparity between how Caucasian people are treated in comparison to African Americans, such as how the federal police target African Americans for arrest, and ‘mandatory minimum’ policies. We will show the connection between the high incarceration rate for African Americans, and how that affects the drug offenders families and communities. Our discoveries reveal that the War on Drugs campaign has implemented change that has caused hardship for the African American Demographic in the U.S..
