The project deals with the visitation zones in Copenhagen, and uses the theory of Michel Foucault’s dispositive analysis and Georgio Agamben's theory of the State of Exception. The project has been based on various statements and reports that seek to legitimize and provide a basis for the use of visitations zones. In the project we discuss the role of fear and security and the consequences of these aspects and how they are helping to create and maintain the visitations zones. Through the research, grounds of security has helped to override democratic principles. Furthermore the project discusses if whether the visitations zones could be seen as part of a more general development in society, which is preferring security before democracy. In the aspect of theory of science, we have been guided by post structuralism and have let this guide our study and the quality of the knowledge we have reached.
