This thesis revolves around the development of specific concepts for radio broadcasting. Specifically the challenge is to create a radio program with the purpose of getting topics of the world across to an audience that are not necessarily interested in international news or topics. More concretely the thesis is that of an international radio concept for the radio station P3 brought by the Danish national radio, DR. The already existing programs on this station are mostly based on humor, music and topics that speak to the listeners who are not interested in more serious topics. So the challenge is to bring the world to P3 listeners by finding out, what makes the stations programs a success and converting this into a concept with revolves round international affairs. By analyzing three existing programs it is found that several ways of pleasing the audience are consistent trough out the radio stations concepts. Most important are the branding of the radio hosts and their interaction. Equally important are the listeners role in the programming. Two of the programs tend to be almost absolutely based on the listeners' feedback while the third gets its drive from converting the daily news into entertainment. The end product of the thesis is a plan for a new P3 program, Verden på P3, (The World on P3). This is a weekly program that focuses on a specific and arbitrarily chosen country each week, while enticing the listeners with the means, that trough the analysis are found useful for keeping an audience.
