This research paper aims to explore the relationship between innovation processes and value creation, which is influenced through factors such as organizational culture and how interactions occur within the different levels of the organization. With an open approach to innovation, new ideas can come from all entities within the organization being not only management, but furthermore employees and members through their interactions with one another. Unity Gym’s slogan is, ‘My Gym is Different’, which they try to accomplish through these open communications, giving the members and staff a sense of having influence on the company’s agenda. Through this intensive case study, it became apparent that there is a strong relationship between innovation and value creation which are linked together through those involved in the decision-making process of innovation. The paper explores the innovation process and further explains various aspects like innovation approach, perspective, and sources that spur innovation. An analysis is done, in which we found a form of Stage-Gate model.
