This study investigates how the Danish company Ecco has changed their focus on their value chain management. The new focus has been changed in 2009, which means the new concept now focus on the costumers and the Ecco stories. The first part of the paper is an investigation of how Ecco’s value chain management has been challenging. This part is mainly based on theory from Michael Porter on value chain management. The second part I interview two shop-managers from Ecco and create a sample about the Danish people’s opinion about Ecco. To make a qualitative interview guide there will be using Steinar Kvale’s scientific method about qualitative interview. Finally the results are being compared to the results from interview and sample with Abraham Maslow’s theory about hierarchy of needs. The conclusion is that Ecco has made a good decision to change their focus on value chain management. Today is Ecco a big company with only quality products.
