The unemployment rate among young people today has reached alarmingly high levels. In this study it's examined how young unemployed people experience their encounter with the employment system. Furthermore this study examines how the implementation of ”Act of an Active Employment”, which defines the framework of how practice is managed in the employment system, might lead to young peoples experience of getting violated as well as additionally marginalized. The study concludes that implementation of this employment act is a complicated process that includes several players on various levels. Partly as a result of this, the main aim in the policy about getting the unemployed back into work as quickly and effectively as possible, becomes the reality that shines through in the way practice is carried out, which in some cases will lead to the social worker overriding ethics in favour of an over efficient and economic rationalized thinking. This leads to violations of the young unemployed people and in worst case further marginalization of the individual.
