Ung På Linje/Ung Online is a volunteer-based, youth-to-youth hotline developed by the well-established humanitarian organization Ungdommens Røde Kors. The hotline is aimed at young people between the ages of 13-30, in this project, we wish to focus on 13-20-year olds. The concept of the hotline is that no problem is too small or too big to be shared – and this is the concept we wish to convey to the target group. The problem, however, is that the cognizance of the hotline is limited. In cooperation with the hotline we will produce two campaign videos with the aim of creating awareness. To test the reception of our videos we will conduct two focus group interviews with the target group’s external borders – one group consisting of young people between the ages of 14-15 and one between 18-19. The focus group interviews will investigate whether social norms and tabulated issues will affect the participants understanding of the videos. Furthermore, we wish to investigate how these understandings, or misunderstandings, will affect the likeliness of the target group acting according to the message.
