For decades, there has been a heated debate about the conflict between Jews and Palestinians in Israel. The conflict occasionally takes up a lot of space in the media. In this case, the Israeli elec-tion of 2015 inspired the present study. The purpose of this case study is to research what national and political discourses in Israel say about peace and future hopes for Israel. To do so, we had to gain some historical and political knowledge, which when combined with interviews gathered in Israel, founded the basis of a dis-cursive analysis. The theory, and partly methods, behind the study are based on Winther Jørgensen and Phillips "Diskursteori som teori og metode" (1999). Furthermore Kvale (2008) form the meth-odological foundation of our interpretation of the gathered interviews. From a thorough review of our transcriptions, we identified four themes that repeatedly were mentioned by each of our five representatives. The themes go by the headlines: "Relations to the Other", "Security", "One or Two States?" and "Influence of the Outside World". The development of the study is an analysis of the mentioned themes, with the purpose of finding out how different people talk of the same subjects, through their national discourses. The conclusion of the analysis showed a wide variety of percep-tions regarding peace and hopes for the future.
