Abstract In this project, some issues that can arise, when bilingual children go to a Danish school, are processed. The children's language skills, habitus and capital, are highlighted as some of the areas that have significant influence, on the bilingual children's schooling. The child's cultural background is described and placed up against the culture in danish schools and in this matter, the explicit differences, and what influence, it has on the conditions for bilingual children in Danish schools, is described.
