Studenteropgave: Basisprojekt

The members of the group have all grown up with digital games and through that, the discussion about the effect of digital games on our minds. By using different philosophical theories and a survey, it is possible to categories players and identifies their ethical and moral beliefs. While in the process of watching the informants playing the game ‘The Walking Dead: Season 1’, an interviewer will ask the informant questions devalued with Richard Fenno’s theory. Through these questions and analysis of the answers, it is possible to detect if there is any variations in the informants ethical and moral believes.
After the analysis it is possible to conclude, that the game has affected the informants and they have all changed their ethical and moral beliefs in one or more scenarios throughout the game. Therefore, we can conclude that the game ‘The Walking Dead: Season 1’, has had an impact on the informants ethical and moral beliefs. Although there is a clear difference, it is not possible to know if this change will have a permanent impact on the informants lives.
