Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

Abstract The following thesis, is a product of a hypothesis regarding people living in Copenhagen. Grounded in our different relationships to our capital and the people living within it, we’ve felt that the people of Copenhagen generally is very repellant and enclosed in the public space. This thesis tries to analyse our hypothesis, so as to be sure if there are a genuint problem. Furthermore we’ve developed a performative social game indented to bring together the inhabitants of Copenhagen, so as to meet this problem. The Social Game is intended not to resolve a problem, but to raise focus on what we perceive as a problem. The thesis is grounded in performance studies, a tangible design process and Goffmans conceptual world, regarding micro sociology. The thesis concludes that our design has a potential as a social game performance, but that it still needs further iterations, especially regarding site-specifications.
