Since 1990 the migration trends are changing and increasing. The actual globalization in the whole world affects seriously migration. Transport and communications development interconnect the world into a single globe. Poverty, unemployment and unstable political and economic conditions make the people migrate to various countries to find alternative livelihood and improve the quality of living. In the recent period feminization of migration increases. The majority of the migrants in the world are females. In this report we have focused in the influence of the remittances sent by female migrants and its effect in the growth of the economy in developing countries. Nepal and Colombia are discussed trying to point out this situation in both countries.
