Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project is written with the intent to clarify and discuss how the different voices of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Bush administration have distorted the debate on the USA PATRIOT Act and how this might have affected the public debate. This research problem is approached from a Critical Theoretical angle with emphasis on theorist Jürgen Habermas. We have researched this area looking into the specific strategies of ACLU concerning advertisement campaigns & lobbying and by studying the rhetorical strategies of George Bush’s speeches.
