Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

In this project, we aim to find an explanation of the concept of time. We discuss various philosophical theories about the concept. Quickly, we discover that the questions about time are primarily about the status of the future, and that we need to look into temporal logic to deal with this. That leads us to examining the different structures of time, before dealing with the various subjective perceptions of time, that is, philosophical theories. We find that the two major theories of time both lead to seemingly insoluble problems; either we will have to rework the entire temporal logic systems, or we face an existentialistic issue with determinism. Thus we can conclude that no existing theory of time is perfect.
