The project is a mixed method study aimed at finding the role of print media in the information search habits of students at Roskilde University. The theoretical framework used draws on aspects of Uses and Gratification and reception analysis. The study uses empirical data obtained using a triangulation of methods through a survey, focus group and an expert interview with a communication expert. It is shown throughout the project that print media is underrepresented amongst the search patterns of students at the university. RUC based channels seem to be preferred by the students, however, social media and external search engines have significance. Furthermore, the study looks at the issues expressed by students with print media, as well as present issues with the accessibility of information in general. This turned out to be partially due to the lack of structure in the internal communication, which the different institutes are responsible for individually.
