Studenteropgave: Basisprojekt

Abstrakt

In this project we attempt to tackle an existing discussion around the subject of information technology (IT) and self-distraction. We do this with existentialist philosophers like Martin Heidegger and Jean Paul Sartre, neuroscientific research, psychological research, IT user acceptance data and behavioral studies in distraction. We end up creating a holistic, comprehensive understanding of the subject by implementing philosophical views with empirical research and reach the conclusion that the effects of distraction through IT can be reduced as long as people are aware of the whole process at work.
