Abstrakt
This project is based on a six week internship at the first roleplaying based school in the world: Østerskov Efterskole. It explores how educational play can have health promotional benefits through the theories of Peter Gray and Aaron Antonovsky. It concludes that the play at the school allows the children to practice how to grasp dire challenges with few resources, and teaches them to project meaning into losses. Yet the population of the schools perceives themselves as unhealthy. After a thorough analysis, it is concluded that the different approach used in connection to health activities may enforce the childrens experiences of negative meaning connected to health. In the end different potential courses of action is suggested.
