Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project will obtain the broad understanding of health which is presented in WHO’s the Ottawa Charter. The purpose of the project, is to investigate the influence of two users at the drop-in centre Transmogriffen. The study gives an insight into how the mental and social health, for two users, have been affected by their time in the voluntary controlled drop-in centre Transmogriffen. To do this we will conduct three interviews, with two informants. First a single interview with each, than a group interview together. In an inductive manner we will use our interviews to choose a theoretical frame which then will be used to analyse our empirical data. In this project we have a hermeneutic approach to philosophy of science, which is why our preconceptions have been explicated and will be used through the project. Through this theoretical understanding of our informants, we learn that frequent use of Transmogriffen can have a positive influence on quality of life. Through the analysis of the empirical data, we have used theoretical terms, such as coping, recognition and relations. We have discovered that Transmogriffen have a health promotional effect on the users quality of life.
