In the fall of 2014 the parties in the Danish government began to warm up to the forthcoming election. Especially one topic – public health – was on the agenda. Each party published a mani-fest on health policies. Tree of these have been selected for this paper, and are discussed and ana-lysed with regards to the following three topics: the health expenditures, user fees and public treatment guaranties. The paper finds that the public health expenditure is growing at a fast pace, without any concrete plan to slow the process down. Changes in the user fee in public health have been proposed and they vary with the ideologies of the parties, but no changes have been made due to the fact that the agenda is an unpopular one. Finally there was in 2014 a great deal of de-bate as to whether treatment should be guarantied within 30 or 60 days. Both social justice and efficiency was taken into consideration.
