Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

Abstrakt

Drug consumption room. This project deals with the challenges in the political process of decision, and the qustion whether the drug addicts are stigmated and do not have any opportunities to be heard regarding the process about establishment of drug consumption rooms. The problem is explored from a political and a sociological perspective, it is based on John W. Kingdons development of the garbage can model and of Erving Goffmans theory about stigmata. To qualify the task and to go deeper into the issue, we have made our own empirical studies by interviews, of which, we connect to our theories and secondary sources. It has been important for the task to involve the grey zone of law, which has been discussed regarding drug consumption rooms. Because the political decision-making process go back to 1996, the project is based on the period 1996 up to today, were the establishment of drug consumption room law was suggested.
