The danish social laws and the rights of poor people from 1803-1933 has changed a lot. The purpose of this paper is too find out, what kind of arguments there have been against the people who have received alms from the danish government, and what precautions there were made to deal with the poor citizens.
The purpose of this is to analyze and discuss the social and the cultural changes in the society in a historical context. I have researched what kind of consequences it had for the people for the people who received alms and how the social political scene developed over the given period of time.
The focus points of this paper is the social reform of 1803, the free constitution of 1849 the first social reform in 1891/92 and the second social reform of1933.
I have come to the conclusion that the right of the poor people wasnt really maintained, the reason why they made laws for receiving alms was because of an economical aspect. In 1933 during the second social reform, was the first time in danish history that people who received alms were equal to the rest of the danish society.
