This report addresses the social acceleration in the Danish educational system. we have used Hartmut Rosa's critical theory of alienation and acceleration to illustrate the acceleration which is based on Marx alienation theories. According to Rosa people are driven by the notion of ' the good life ', and they only work if they have a goal and a meaning in life. Furthermore, we used qualitative life-world interviews with Danish students to illustrate how neoliberalism affects Danish students. This has been done, to investigate the acceleration processes that characterize the competitive society and to provide an understanding of the pathological consequences ever shorter lead. The report has been based on the critical theory and it aims to find trends and frozen power structures that stand in the way of human development, it thereby has a emancipatory aim. The project also seeks to look at the temporality in the society and if the students' experience of their education are consistent with their wishes and experiences. Finally, the project concludes if the social acceleration has an impact on the increase in the social pathologies that characterize the Danish society.
