Samhørighed i Virtuelle Teams: Cohesion in Virtual Teams

Abstrakt

This report looks at virtual projects and tries to analyze if it is possible through tools and techniques to improve cohesion (understood as communication, coordination and trust) in virtual projects? First, a literature review of articles about virtual teams and their findings are carried out. Second, the results from the literature review are used to analyze communication, coordination and trust in an actual virtual team project where the author was a member. This analysis reveals that there were few things that showed up in the virtual team project that were not found in the literature, but also that the mix of problems related to communication, coordination and trust in a specific project is characteristic and unique for that project. Finally, the report ends with a summary of the knowledge gained through this report and I discuss whether the tools and techniques I found in the literature can be used to assure improved cohesion in virtual projects.
