This paper examines how spaces and physical surroundings potentially effects Academic Immersion and improves concentration for students in the primary school. Throughout using theories of atmospheres, Howard Gardners intelligences and Performance Perspectives, and incorporating opinions from selected students and teachers at a Danish primary school, we designed two alternative classrooms for an observational experiment with the teachers and students themselves. The study showed that using calm music, comfortable lounge areas, tables to draw on, among other matters, a quiet and calmed atmosphere seem to increase the students concentration and academic immersion to a certain level. While noticing a disinterest from the teachers, the paper concludes with a discussion, that spaces and physical surroundings do have an impact of the immersion level of an elementary class, but this is merely depending on, whether the teachers are attentive and helpful or not.
