Studenteropgave: Kandidatprojekt

This project aims to discover the possibilities within the theme of therapeutic help to children of parents who struggles with alcohol abusement. It derives from an interest of the switched societal core, from therapeutic focus on the addict, to being on the relative. These findings are recovered through the empirical body of work through the project. It contains three different qualitative based interviews with three different perspectives on the NGO TUBA (Terapi og rådgivning for Unge, der er Børn af Alkohol- og stofmisbrugere). Including a leader within the organisation TUBA, a therapist of TUBA and a child of a parent who struggled with alcohol abuse undergoing therapy at TUBA.

The findings of the project include an understanding of TUBA’s way of encouraging the children, who grow up with parents that are abusing alcohol, to a better well-being, and furthermore strengthen the resilience throughout TUBA’s therapeutic practice.
