Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

In this report a question is asked about what kind of people have a tendency to join a biker gang and what increases the chances for this happening. To answer this question, the report uses the theory of both Alex Honneth and Pierre Bourdieu. With Bourdieu's theory about Habitus and capital, this paper answers some of the questions as to what tendency leads to a life in the criminal world. The report also looks for any indication that Alex Honneth theory about recognition is present in any of the answers that the statistics are found in this report. It was clear that there were some connection between the social problems a man faced during his childhood and the probability of being involved in the criminal world. The school system have a major effect in a child's chances to avoid being involved in the criminal world.
