Abstrakt

In this rapport we discuss different design solutions for implementing the regrowth of edible plants in the day-to-day life in danish households. Regrowth is a natural process that some plants have, regrowing into a whole plant from just part of the original plant. We take a look at the relation between humans, nature and technology, and the influence this have on human well being, and how regrowth can amplify the human to nature relationship through technology. We look into what could motivate people to implement the principles of regrowth, and how a design can appeal to this. Our design in this rapport emphasizes that regrowth can be implemented potentially by designing a simple method, described both in text and visually, that can be applied to numerous edible plants. In conclusion to our findings, we exemplify what a potential solution could entail.
