This project examines how a redesign of the website klemming-schmidt.com can be done. The overall objective of the project is to design a web solution that meets the designer's need for user-friendliness, represents the designer's values aesthetically and addresses the target group for the products as well.
The project is based on the theory of the iterative design process of Rogers, Preece and Sharp as well as Goodman, Kuniavsky and Moed. The prototype's aesthetic choices are made, among other things, on the basis of Lisbeth Thorlacius' theories on visual communication in digital media, while the website's functionality is based on Jason Beaird's principles regarding functional web design.
In addition, usability tests are conducted with test participants on the basis of Morten Hertzum's theory.
The website's target audience is determined based on theories created by Sine Just and Ib Guldbrandsen. Based on this, the project is completed with a working prototype for the redesigned website, which Klemming-Schmidt can manage on his own.
