Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project illustrates how the social veneture Skyhands IVS lives up to its own, governmental and experts ideal understanding of how a social enterprise should be. Modern and developed countries intend to maintain and speed up the development of growth and knowledge in the society. It is seen as an important criteria for a society to keep up with the technological developments. Before the financial crisis erupted in 2008, there were more jobs and a good competitiveness. The financial crisis had a negative impact on the economy and resulted in, among other things, in a higher unemployment. After the crisis, the Danish society has been enriched in the form of an increased number of companies with a social beneficial purpose. In recent years there has been an increased focus on the so-called social economy enterprises, which have increased in number. These social enterprises differ from traditional conventional businesses by having a social beneficial purpose while they work under general market conditions, as traditional businesses. Because these companies have an economic and a social dimension we have tried to examine both dimensions in the company using the subjects sociology and economics. In sociology, the theory of citizenship and social capital helps to show whether the social company we work with, Skyhands IVS lives up to its social purpose and how it does this. While the subject economy illustrates how the social business operates by using three different theories. The theory of Brand idea shows how companies with a social aspect can brand themselves as opposed to traditional businesses. The theory of theoretical section on marketing and entrepreneurship must provide an insight into how entreprenurial companies operate on market terms which are not adapted to them. The theory section on service chain analysis shows the company's ability to generate profit. In addition to the theories the project contains a quantitative questionnaire survey that took place in Roskilde, where respondents are parents with children, and there is also a qualitative interview with Skyhands IVS 'project manager Jane Marckmann. The quantitative questionnaire should provide a picture of the possibility for profit and earnings for the company in the municipality where it has its starting point, namely, Roskilde Municipality. The qualitative interviews give us answers to which expectations the project manager of Skyhands IVS had regarding her social company. The assignment tries to highlight what is exepected from the social economic company, Skyhands IVS, and whether it lives up to the expectations.
