This paper opens up for a discussion about the current state of the Danish labour markets and the changes that has overcome it, during the last 30 years. Many jobs have been lost due to outsourcing. Rightwing politicians states that its due to the high taxes and are arguing that if they are lowered, companies would have an increased competitiveness that should make them able to compete better against low income countries. This paper challenges the macro-oriented focus, because despite that some companies outsource, many companies are still able to make good progress and grow in size. It does so by gathering data interviewing the CEO of PowerStow A/S – a small but steady growing company. Using the interview it tries to analyze which competitive advantages the company has and how it reaps the benefits of them. The paper does not try to generalize these findings. It merely states the competitive advantages and comments on them in the light of industry theory. While doing so, it simply hopes to shed a bit of new light, on the debate.
