This project is based on the women's shelter Danner, which is a state funded organisation working with abused women. The focus of the project is to examine how Danner views abused women in a political, theoretical and everyday context. This is conducted through a positioning analysis of how Danner talks about abused women and its work related to them. Through our analysis we find that Danner has a very eclectic approach in their work, which creates different positions and thereby different views of the abused women. In continuation hereof we find that these different positionings of the women, creates dilemmas between their political agenda and their work with abused women in theory and praxis. As a conclusion to the project we have found, that currently no discourse, which is able to include all the varied position identified in the project, exists, and this is actually in accordance with the positioning theory.
