Abstract Wave energy in Denmark The project deals with wave power and its application in Denmark. Three wave power machines; Wave Dragon, Wave Star and Anaconda, have been chosen for this project due to their ability to function in Danish water conditions and because they have come the furthest towards the goal of launching a full scale functioning wave machine. Furthermore they are based on three different concepts which gives the reader insight into the diversity of wavepower. The project evaluates whether or not these new machines can make wave power profitable in Denmark. In order to do so calculations are made to see if the wave power machines can deliver electricity at about the same cost as windmills. Furthermore the project explains the physics behind calculating potential energy in water waves, and some of the mechanics behind the three chosen machines are examined.
