This study examines the interview technique used by Clement Kjersgaard in his interview with politician Mette Frederiksen in the talkshow called “Vi ses hos Clement”, and what effect this technique has on the informative debate. We want to draw attention to the fact that it is not always the interviewee who prevaricates when journalists asks pointed questions but that the quality of these questions sometimes are of such a poor degree that it simply becomes impossible for the interviewees to give a satisfying answer. In order to answer this, we have conducted a focus group interview as a product testing. On the basis of this, as well as, we analyze the interview between Clement and Mette Frederiksen. In our analysis, we have chosen to work with 4 clips from the interview, on which we mainly focus on three of them. We believe they contain different issues in regards to conducting a successful and informative political interview. In addition to this, we discuss the various issues in the interview and why they constitute a challenge for the interview to be successful. Considering the analysis of the interview, as well as our discussion of the various issues, we have found that the interview technique used by Clement, to some extend, has a degrading effect in conducting a successful and informative interview.
